HI I’M JES!

Raised in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, my journey led me to Colorado in 2007. Returning to Colorado felt like a true homecoming for me, as my family has its roots here. I enjoy a variety of activities, from visiting local museums and attending live music shows to spending quality time with friends and family. I also love boating, camping, and hitting the ski slopes. I LOVE Denver Broncos football and try to attend every home game.  

My academic path began at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where I graduated with honors, cum laude, in 2014, armed with a bachelor's degree in architecture. As I transitioned to the lively city of Denver, I embarked on a brief hiatus from academia, contemplating my next move. In 2018, I enthusiastically dove back into education at Arapahoe Community College, emerging in 2021 with another feather in my cap, an associate degree in interior design, this time graduating magna cum laude. 

My journey in the world of design commenced in 2018 when I embarked on an exciting internship with a cozy residential firm. From there, I further refined my skills as a design assistant at a dynamic boutique commercial firm. Today, I take immense pride in my role as the Lead Designer at Rooted Design Studios, a venture I co-founded with the client in mind. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects, from the captivating world of restaurants and offices to the intimate spaces of countless residential homes. 

My design philosophy revolves around you, our valued clients. I firmly believe that by forging a deep connection with each client project and carefully listening to your needs, desires, and objectives, we can create spaces that authentically mirror your unique individuality. My aspirations are firmly rooted in igniting inspiration, with a steadfast commitment to integrity, transparency, and, above all, your happiness—the most rewarding aspect of my profession.
